How It Works
How NakSeat Works
Here is how to sell event tickets online with NakSeat, from the first setup to the last guest through the door: create the event, add sessions and tickets, connect payments, share the booking link, let customers book and pay, issue QR tickets, scan at the entrance and watch attendance update in real time.
The online booking process in eight steps
Step 1
Create an event or programme
Start by giving your event a name, location and description. This becomes the public booking page that attendees see.
- Works for one-off events and recurring programmes such as Ramadan buffets, seminars, training courses, workshops and ticketed dining.
- Add the practical information attendees need before booking, such as venue directions, dress code or what is included.
- Keep the event in draft while you prepare it. Nothing is visible to the public until you publish.
Step 2
Add dates, sessions, quotas and ticket options
Set up the dates and sessions your event runs, then decide how many tickets are available and at what price.
- Create multiple dates and time sessions under one event, for example lunch and dinner sittings across a month.
- Set a quota for each session so bookings automatically stop when capacity is reached.
- Offer several ticket options with different names, prices and limits, such as Adult, Child, Early Bird or VIP.
Step 3
Connect payment collection
Link your own payment account so buyers pay you directly when they book. NakSeat never holds your ticket revenue.
- Connect your Billplz account from Merchant settings. Buyers pay through FPX online banking and other methods your account supports.
- Payment confirmation is received automatically, so you do not need to check bank transfers or chase receipts.
- For walk-ins or bank transfers, your team can record a manual sale that you approve before the ticket is released.
Step 4
Share the public booking link
Every event has its own public booking link. Share it wherever your audience already is.
- Post the link on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, email newsletters or your own website.
- The booking page is mobile-first, shows live availability for each date and session, and carries your logo and brand colour.
- Sales staff can be given their own tracked links so you know which team member brought in each booking.
Step 5
Customer completes the booking
Attendees open your link, choose a date, session and ticket quantity, enter their details and pay online in a few taps.
- The online event booking process works on any phone browser with no app to install.
- Seats are held while the customer pays, and released automatically if the payment is not completed.
- Each confirmed booking appears instantly in your dashboard with the buyer details, amount paid and session.
Step 6
Customer receives a QR ticket
A QR ticket is issued the moment payment is confirmed and emailed to the buyer with a PDF copy attached.
- One booking produces one QR code covering the total number of tickets, which keeps group arrivals simple.
- Buyers can reopen their ticket anytime from the My Tickets page using the booking code and email.
- The ticket carries your logo and event details, so attendees recognise your brand, not the software.
Step 7
Staff scan the QR code
On event day, your team opens the scanner on their phones to verify tickets and record who has arrived.
- Several staff can scan at the same time on different devices. Each ticket can only be fully checked in once.
- If a group arrives separately, staff can record a partial check-in and admit the remaining guests later.
- Search by name or booking code when a QR code cannot be scanned.
Step 8
Attendance updates in real time
Every scan updates the event check-in system immediately, so the whole team sees the same numbers.
- Track checked-in guests, remaining seats and no-shows per session while the event is running.
- Undo a mistaken scan within a short window, or adjust attendance manually with a full history of who changed what.
- Export buyer and attendance lists to CSV after the event for records, catering counts or follow-up.
